UPDATE: A fire early Monday at The Doc’s Inn, 985 Avenue of the Cities, Silvis, was in an outbuilding that housed some of the equipment that the restaurant uses, according to Silvis Fire Chief John E. Winters.
The fire was contained to that building and did not get into the main structure, Winters told Local 4 News later Monday. A cause has not yet been determined.
EARLIER: Crews from multiple jurisdictions responded to a fire at The Doc’s Inn in Silvis early Monday.
It happened around 1:30 a.m.
The incident appears to involve a building in back of the main structure.
As of now we don’t know the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage.
