Warren was drafted in the 1968 NBA Draft but ultimately pursued a career in acting. He has over 80 acting credits to his name, including his most well-known role as Officer Bobby Hill on Hill Street Blues from 1981 to 1987. He also starred on Sierra in 1974 and Paris from 1979 to 1980.
